About

When small business owners are supported to achieve their dreams, they create great employee cultures. Communities filled with these ecosystems lead to healthier and more caring communities that give back.

Our Founder, Debi Corrie

Debi is an innovator. She is constantly learning new things and best practices to see how they can be applied to business and help people create successful companies. She strives for excellence in the work her business provides and best practices with her team.

When other people panicked during the pandemic, she looked for ways that she could help business owners. When people were trying to figure out who to go to for PPP loans, she had answers. She had reached out to all of her banking connections to determine who was processing PPP loans, who was accepting new clients, and who was willing to work with small business owners. She reached out to business owners and helped them complete the process. She also spoke at local chambers of commerce and rotary clubs to spread the word.

It was during this period that it became clear to her that there was a need for better tax planning, financial strategy, and accurate financial data for business owners to make decisions. This become the next iteration of her business and Acumaxum was born.

She realized that she wanted to have a farther reach than the current business owners she served and decide in June 2020 to write the book “Loving Failure: Getting Control of Your Business Health.” The book is written for business owners. It is a down-to-earth approach that makes finance easier to understand. The book is filled with stories and tips on how to generate cash and run a financially sound business. It was launched in November 2020 and became an international bestseller. DJC Media became her 3rd company.

For 2023 she has another dream to reach more people. She will be creating a community of business owners that want to learn more about finance and share ideas with each other. The community will be a way to reach more business owners for her bigger-picture vision.

She believes by supporting small business owners and helping them achieve their dreams, they will create great employee cultures. This model will have communities that care about their residents and create an ecosystem of giving and serving others.

She is known for her big heart and for serving on local boards. She has served on the board of the Professional Women’s Alliance, The St Louis Inventors Association, and mentored at Parkway Spark. She currently serves as the Treasurer for The Women’s Shelter of St Louis.
